Louise-Amélie Cougnon

Research Director

Linguistic Consultant

Hello,

a bit about me:

I was born in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, where I studied at the European School. I then left Luxembourg for Belgium, where I studied Romance Literature and Languages and completed a PhD in sociolinguistics in a research center dedicated to natural language processing. After few years of lecturing for several university and senior university courses, I had a very interesting experience as a Pedagogical Director in a private company dedicated to distance learning. Then, I was a post-doc researcher in Social and Political Sciences and studied online public debate for pedagogical, political and media purposes. After 2 years, I became a post-doc researcher for the Belgian National Funding Agency (FRNS), where I studied the links between Youth, New Media & Multi-skilling. Today, I'm a research director in a UCL lab dedicated to Media Innovation and Intelligibility.
